ICE BATH BERLIN
Zenctuary in Friedrichshain runs two studio ice baths: one kept at 0–2 °C and a second at 6–8 °C for a gentler start — inside a Free-Flow rhythm of infrared sauna, ice bath, red light, massage chairs and rest. Address: Boxhagener Straße 96, 10245 Berlin.
We have two tubs: the cold ice bath at 0–2 °C and a second one at 6–8 °C. That lets you choose the intensity yourself — a gentler start at 6–8 °C, a short and strong stimulus at 0–2 °C.
Both tubs are included in the Free-Flow slot. Many guests start in the warmer one, stay a little longer, and then step into the cold tub for one to two minutes — or alternate between the two.
We keep our ice baths at 0–2 °C and 6–8 °C all year and measure the temperature before every slot — you can read it on the display at the tub. For comparison: cold plunges are often run at around 8–12 °C. The colder the water, the shorter the stimulus: 1 to 3 minutes are enough at 0–2 °C, while you can stay longer in the 6–8 °C tub.
For you that means reliably the same cold on a Tuesday morning as on a Sunday evening — not depending on the weather, the crowd or the time of day.
The water is filtered continuously (pre-filter, 30-micron filter, UV-C) and checked regularly. Showering before the ice bath is mandatory.
You can simply book a slot and get into the ice bath: no subscription, no minimum term, no class commitment. Slots that free up at short notice can be booked spontaneously.
The cold is powerful, so we keep it boring: you are never alone in the Fire & Ice zone, the temperature is displayed, and a staff member is within earshot the whole time.
Complete beginners and experienced cold practitioners alike. If you are pregnant or have cardiovascular conditions, high blood pressure or recent injuries, talk to us first and we will pick a gentler format.
Boxhagener Straße 96, 10245 Berlin. We sit inside a listed 1893 horse stable between Boxhagener Platz and Ostkreuz — a five-minute walk from the RAW site and the Warschauer Straße bars, which makes an early morning plunge or a post-work round easy to fit in.
A few minutes' walk from Ostkreuz, Boxhagener Platz and Warschauer Straße — easy by S-Bahn, U-Bahn, tram or bike. Bring a towel and, if you like warm feet, a pair of sliders — swimwear is optional.

One to three minutes is plenty at 0–2 °C. You set the pace and can step out at any time.
Guided, it is safe: you warm up first, breathe calmly, keep your head above water and are never alone in the Fire & Ice zone. If you are pregnant or have cardiovascular conditions, high blood pressure or epilepsy, check with us and your doctor first.
Recovery after training is best supported: less soreness, faster return of performance. Add a clear head for one to three hours and, through repetition, more composure under stress. Two to three short baths a week beat one long one.
Two to three times a week, 30 seconds to 3 minutes each. Straight after heavy strength training, wait a few hours so the muscle-growth signal is not blunted.
