Is yin yoga suitable for beginners?
Yes, especially so. There is no pace and no complicated transitions — you hold a few postures supported by blocks and bolsters.
YIN YOGA BERLIN
Long-held postures, quiet breathing, nothing to achieve: yin yoga at our studio at Boxhagener Straße 96, 10245 Berlin — minutes from Ostkreuz and Boxhagener Platz.
In yin yoga you hold a few postures for several minutes — mostly seated or lying down, supported by bolsters and blankets. Instead of muscular effort it works with connective tissue, fascia and joints, and above all with time: the body gets enough of it to actually let go.
For many people it is the counterweight to a busy life. The breath lengthens, the nervous system shifts down a gear — often you only notice it in the minutes after class.
Arrival, a short settling-in, then usually five to eight postures across 60 to 75 minutes. Everything is adaptable — we show variations with blocks, bolsters and straps so you land in stillness rather than in a stretch. A longer final relaxation closes the class.
Yin yoga combines well with heat and cold: the infrared sauna beforehand makes tissue more pliable, a Free-Flow slot afterwards extends the calm. Book them separately or together.

Comfortable, warm clothing and socks — the body cools down more easily in yin. Mats, blocks, bolsters and blankets are here.
