The space
The main room is open, bright and acoustically soft: high walls, wooden floor, dimmable light and a view into the quiet courtyard. No street noise, no through traffic — your group stays undisturbed.
The room is set up for movement, seated circles and talks. Mats, bolsters, blankets and sound are in place; chairs and tables can be arranged for seminar formats.

Why this place holds
In 1893 horses stood here. The walls, the beams and the quiet of the courtyard remained — we only added light, warmth and stillness.
Groups arrive faster when the room asks nothing of them. So nothing here is loud: no advertising, no through traffic, no background programme. Just a place where your work stays at the centre.

Renting an event space in Berlin — what makes this room different
Looking for a room for workshops or retreats in Berlin usually means choosing between coworking spaces and venues without atmosphere. Zenctuary sits in Friedrichshain, minutes from S+U Frankfurter Allee, and combines a listed 1893 horse stable with full studio equipment.
For facilitators that means mats, bolsters, sound, changing rooms and showers are already there. You book time, not logistics. For teams it means one offsite location with heat, cold and quiet in one place — seminar in the morning, Fire & Ice zone in the afternoon.
Our rentals are deliberately curated. We are not a party venue and do not rent for celebrations with alcohol or loud music after 10 pm. Anything built around movement, learning, stillness and community belongs here.
Space rental FAQ
How many people fit in the room?
For mat-based formats we plan for up to 25 people, for seated and seminar formats up to 30.
When is the half day worth it?
From four hours the half-day rate is cheaper than hourly booking. We always invoice the cheaper option.
Is the Fire & Ice zone part of the rental?
No, the zone can be added exclusively — for example to close a retreat day.
Can we bring our own catering?
Yes. You can use the tea kitchen, and we're happy to recommend partners nearby.
Is there a deposit?
We confirm the date with a 30% deposit; the remainder is invoiced after your event.
Are parties possible?
No. We rent exclusively for workshops, trainings, retreats, seminars and selected quiet events.
What about accessibility?
The main room is reachable step-free via the courtyard. Get in touch beforehand and we'll sort out specific needs.

Tea Ceremony Introduction – an introduction to Gong Fu Cha
A simple and accessible introduction to the Chinese way of brewing tea. A tea master introduces the fundamentals of Gong Fu Cha – tea-to-water ratio, temperature, timing and the role of each piece of teaware. Afterwards the tea set is yours to continue exploring at your own pace.
